sehsüchte: Europe’s Biggest International Student Film Festival
Our motto from April 23 to 27, 2008 has been "Open your eyes! – sehsüchte.08 presents treasures from all over the world". This year too, sehsüchte set forth on a quest to unearth works from emerging filmmakers from all over the world. Over a period of five days the found treasures were presented to the audience. At the end of the festival week, the finest works were awarded. You can find all the winners of 2008 here.
The International Student Film Festival sehsüchte unites the art of emerging filmmakers and the experience of media professionals. The festival consists of two core areas: The competition and the supporting program. In the competition, juries consisting of well known individuals nominated emerging filmmakers for the International Competition, the Focus Award, the Screenplay Award and the Producer’s Award. The supporting program rounded out the cinematic experience with discussions, workshops, the pitch and exciting opening and closing galas.
