Film Program
We have started viewing films. The films for sehsüchte.08 have been submitted and are flickering in the meantime on the screen before our program group’s trained eyes.
The film program will be widely varied. That much can be said already. The cinematic excursions throughout the world relate curious social occurrences, report on the fates of individuals and heighten awareness of present day problems.
One thematic focus the emerging filmmakers seem to be concentrating on is the representation of older people as an aspect of generational conflict.
There are opportunities to laugh too though! There’s no better way to react to society’s ills than with humor.
The variety of the submitted films ranges from short to long, from features to documentaries up through animated and experimental films as well as pure video clips.
